About Us

I spent 3 decades of my life not caring what went on or in my body. I didn't know that labels were for more than counting calories and I didn't really care to do better. Then I had my first child, and I started to pay closer attention to what kind of products I used. I began to avoid synthetic ingredients and additives and quickly learned  that making things myself was the best way to take control over what kind of products my family used. I started making things like cough salve and bug spray and all-purpose cleaner and dishwashing tablets. Most I kept for us, and some I sold to family and friends. In 2021 I switched my skincare products from a fancy "clean ingredient" company to a beef tallow cream with just 3 ingredients. My skin had never looked better before, and it felt pure to use a product crafted from ingredients God gave us in His creation, and nothing more. My family sources grass-finished beef as our primary source of protein, and for the last couple of years we have purchased a half-cow to fill our freezers. I began making tallow products once I learned how simple it is to render beef fat, and leveled up in my usage of tallow once I discovered all of its amazing benefits. Not everything that we make at Sweet Surrender includes tallow, but it is a primary ingredient in our products because of its versatility and effectiveness.

It is my heart's desire to help people make wiser choices about what they put in and on their body. I've been on a journey that is far from over, and truly believe that we can't do better unless we know better.  My prayer is that our family can help your family "do better"  by eliminating toxins from the products that you use.  We won't ever judge your place in the journey, and will always encourage you to start where you are, use what you have, and do what you can. We are truly grateful for your trust and appreciate your support.

"For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there', and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you." - Matthew 17:20
